Repeat  above 12 rows, having 1 more st in each front between border and seam sts, 2  more sts in each sleeve and 2 more sts in the back; every other row, until  there are 20 increased rows (232 sts), ending with row 2. Work across 36 sts  for left front; place on st-holder. K next 46 sts for left sleeve. Place  remaining sts on 2nd st-holder. Work back and forth in stockinette st on the 46 sleeve sts for 5¼ in. Change to size 1 needles and K 1 row (right  side), decreasing to 38 sts. K 12 rows. Bind off.
  Place  sts from 2nd st-holder to needle. Attach yarn at back underarm seam of sleeve  just made. K across 68 sts for back. Place on st-holder. K across next 46 sts  for right sleeve. Place remaining sts on st- holder. Work right sleeve to correspond.  Join yarn at right front seam. Place sts from st- holder to left hand needle,  work to front edge. Join underarm tog. on next row as follows: K 3, P 33; place  sts of back to needle and P them; place sts of left front to needle and P 33, K  3 (140 sts). Keeping the first and last 14 sts in pattern (the 3 border sts and  the 11 pattern sts) and remaining sts in stockinette st, work even until 4  complete patterns have been made; then work 24 sts in pattern at front edges,  following pattern given between brackets for carriage robe (being sure to work  pattern in reverse for right front); until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm.  K 6 rows. Bind off. 
  Sew  sleeve seams.
BONNET: With size 3 needles cast on 8 sts.
    Row 1—Increase  1 st in each st.
    Row 2—and  all even rows purl.
    Row 3—*  K 1, increase 1 st in next st; repeat from * across row (24 sts).
    Row 5—*  K 2, increase 1 st in next st; repeat from * across row (32 sts).
    Row 7—*  K 3, increase 1 st in next st; repeat from * across row (40 sts).
  Continue  increasing 8 sts on every other row, until there are 88 sts on needle. P 1 row;  then K 1 row, P 1 row, binding off 6 sts at beginning of each row, for back of  neck (76 sts). K 1 row, decreasing to 75 sts. K 3 rows even. Work back and  forth in pattern as given between brackets in carriage robe, having 3 K sts  before, after and between the 21 pattern sts instead of 10, for 3 6 rows, ending  with K3, * P 21, K 3; repeat from * across row. K 33; K 2 tog., 5 times; K 32  (70 sts). K 8 rows even. Bind off. Sew back seam. 
Neckband: With size 1 needles on right side of bonnet, pick up 62 sts across neck edge.  Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 8 rows. Bind off.
BOOTIES: With size 3 needles cast on 41 sts. K 4 rows. Work in pattern as given for left  front edge of sacque, having 2 K sts before, after, and in between the 11  pattern sts, for 24 rows. Bind off 15 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows.  Work back and forth in stockinette st on remaining 11 sts for 13 rows for  instep. Bind off. 
    Foot: Work as given for Basket Weave Booties Pattern. Sew back and sole seams.
