Hereafter continue in this manner, changing the thread overs into pattern and keeping the 2 sts between each section in stockinette st (thus forming a raglan sleeve), until there are 76 sts in front sections, 108 sts in each sleeve section and 148 sts at back section. Raglan shaping is now completed.
Right Front. Work in pattern across 78 sts of right front (this is underarm side), turn. Work back and forth over these 78 sts in block pattern only, increasing 1 st at underarm side every 6th row 13 times (91 sts), and every 7th row 16 times, keeping front edge straight (107 sts). Work straight until underarm measures 25½ inches. Bind off. Break off. Slip the next 110 sts on a stitch holder to be worked later for sleeve.
Back. Attach thread and work across next 150 sts in pattern, turn. Work over these 150 sts in block pattern only, increasing 1 st at both ends of every 4th row until there are 190 sts on needle. Then increase 1 st at both ends of every 3rd row until 260 sts are on needle. Work straight until work measures 25½ inches. Bind off. Break off. Slip the next 110 sts on a stitch holder to be worked later for sleeve.
Left Front. Attach thread and work across remaining 78 sts as for right front. Bind off. Break off.
Sleeve. Transfer the sts of one stitch holder on needle and work in pattern over these 110 sts until work measures 17 inches from armhole. Bind off. Break off. Work other sleeve in same way.
Collar. Starting at outside edge, cast on 76 sts and work in pattern straight for 2½ inches. Then continuing in pattern, decrease 1 st at end of each row until 56 sts remain. Bind off. Break off. Sew curved edge of collar to neck edge. Sew up underarm and sleeve seams. Turn collar back as in illustration.
