MATERIAL:
1 (1-1) skein Knitting Worsted or Orion Sayelle red (1 oz. skein)
1 (1-1) skein Knitting Worsted or Orion Sayelle white (1 oz. skein)
1 pair knitting needles No. 8
1 crochet hook No. 8 or H

With white and No. 8 needles cast on 32 (36-40) sts. and work in ribbing K2, F2 for 6 rows. Change to red and work in ribbing for 2 more rows. Change to stock. st. and work for 2 (4-4) rows. Change to garter st. and work even for 20 (22-24) rows (10 (11-12) ridges). Change to stock. st. and work even for 2 (4-4) rows. Change to ribbing K2, P2 and work for 2 rows. Change to white and work in ribbing for 6 rows more. Bind off loosely K as K and P as P.

FINISHING:
Sew up one short side, gathering the red part. Lacing: With 1 strand each white and red and No. 8 crochet hook make a ch. 38 (40-42) inch, long and lace it through the ribbing part. With red and No. 8 crochet hook work 1 row s.c. along other short side.
