Size 3-6 months
MATERIAL:
  4  skeins Baby Yarn, Orlon Sayelle or Wintuk Baby Yarn (1 oz. skein) 
  1  pair knitting needles No. 3 
  1  crochet hook No. 2 or C 
  3  yards ribbon for trimming 
GAUGE: 7 sts. = 1 inch
PATTERN:
  1st  row: K1 * y.o., K1, y.o. K2 tog., K1, K2 tog. repeat from * across row end K1 
  2nd  and all even numbered rows: P across row 
  3rd  row: K1 * y.o., K3, y.o., K3 tog. repeat from * across row end K1
  5th  row: K1 * K2 tog., K1, K2 tog., y.o., K1, y.o. repeat from * across row end K1
  7th  row: K1 * K3 tog., y.o., K3, y.o. repeat from * across row end K1
  8th  row: P across row
  Repeat  these 8 rows for pattern. 
JACKET:
  Starting  at bottom cast on with No. 3 needles 190 sts. (back and both fronts) and work  in garter st. for 10 rows (5 ridges). Change to stock, st. and keep the first  and last 6 sts. on needle in garter st. for border throughout the entire  jacket. Work even until the entire piece measures 6 inch. Divide the sts. as  follows: work across 50 sts. for 1st front, bind off 12 sts. for armhole, work  across 66 sts. for back, bind off 12 sts. for armhole, work across rem. 50 sts.  for 2nd front. Slip all sts. to an extra needle. Break yarn. 
SLEEVE:
  Cast  on 42 sts. with No. 3 needles and work in garter st. for 14 rows (7 ridges).  Incr. 12 sts. at even intervals across last row of garter st. Change to stock,  st. and work even until the entire sleeve measures 6 inch. Bind off at the beg.  of the next 2 rows 6 sts. Slip sts. to a holder. Break yarn. Work the 2nd  sleeve the same way. 
YOKE:
  Slip  sts. from holder back to needle, attach yarn to right front and work as follows:  K across 1st front, 1st sleeve, back, 2nd sleeve and 2nd front (250 sts. all  tog.) Cont. to work stock, st. for 1 inch., ending with a P row. Next row: K6, K2  tog. 46 times, K3 tog. 18 times, K2 tog. 46 times, K6 (122 sts. left). P 1 row. Work in lace pattern for yoke  on 110 sts., keeping the 6 border sts. in garter st. as before and work even  for 2½ inch. Change to stock, st. for band and work as follows: K6, K2 tog.  across 110 sts., K6 (67 sts. left). Cont. to work in stock, st. for 1 inch.  Bind off loosely. 
FINISHING:
  Sew  up sleeve seams and sew sleeves into armholes. Fold neckband in half and sew to  wrong side. Block to size and pull ribbon through neckband. 
HAT:
  Cast  on 80 sts. with No. 3 needles. Work in garter st. for 10 rows (5 ridges). Change  to lace pattern and keep the 3 sts. on each end of needle in garter st. for  border. Work even until the entire piece measures 5 inch. Change to garter st.  and deer, as follows:
  1st  decr. row: * K8, K2 tog. repeat from * across row. K back.
  2nd  decr. row: * K7, K2 tog. repeat from * across row. K back.
  3rd  decr. row: * K6, K2 tog. repeat from * across row. K back.
  Cont.  to work this way deer. 8 sts. every other row having 1 st. less between  decreases until 16 sts. are left. K2 tog. across row. Pull st. tog. and fasten  off tightly on wrong side. Sew up back seam for 3 inch. With No. 2 crochet hook  work 2 rows s.c. around hat opening. Block to size and sew ribbon to each side  as shown in picture. 
BOOTIES:
  Cast  on 44 sts. with No. 3 needles and work in garter st. for 8 rows (4 ridges).  Change to lace pattern and work even until the entire piece measures 2½ inch.  Change to garter st. and work next row for beading: * K2, y.o., K2 tog. repeat  from * across row. K 1 row. Right side facing you shape instep: K30, turn, work  in garter st. on center 16 sts. for 28 rows. Break yarn. Right side facing you,  join yarn at beg. of row and work across 14 sts., pick up along one side of  gusset 14 sts., K across next 16 sts., pick up along other side of gusset 14  sts., work across rem. 14 sts. (72 sts. all tog.). Work 10 rows garter st.  Start to deer, for sole:
  1st  decr. row: K1, K2 tog., K30, K2 tog. twice, K30, K2 tog., K1. K 1 row. 
  2nd  decr. row: K1, K2 tog., K28, K2 tog. twice, K28 K2 tog., K1. K 1 row. 
  3rd  decr.  row: K1, K2 tog., K26, K2 tog.  twice, K26, K2 tog., K1. K 1 row.
  Bind  off. Fold bootee in half and sew sole and back seam. Block to size and pull  ribbon through beading row.
