Medium and Large Size

MATERIAL:
1 ball sport yarn (2 oz. ball)
For medium size: 1 set bone sock needles No. 1 and No. 2
For large size: 1 set bone sock needles No. 1 and No. 3

PATTERN:
   1st and 2nd round: K around
   3rd round: * K2, P2 repeat from * around
   4th and 5th round: K around
   6th round: * P2, K2, repeat from * around
Repeat these 6 rounds for pattern.

   Cast on 52 sts. (16-20-16) with No. 1 needles. Join and work in ribbing K1, P1, for 3 inch. Change to pattern and No. 2 needles (for large size No. 3 needles). Work even for ½ inch, ending with 6th round. Now start to incr. for Thumb on K round. 1st increase round: insert marker incr. 1 st., K1, incr. 1 st. (insert marker) K to end of round. Work 2 rounds in pattern, without increasing and keep the 3 thumb sts. in stock. st. 2nd increase round: incr. 1 st., K3, incr. 1 st., K to end of round. Work 2 rounds in pattern without increasing and keep the 3 thumb sts. in stock. st. Continue to incr. 1 st. after the first and before the 2nd marker every 3rd round, having 2 more sts. between the increases and keeping the thumb sts. in stock. st. until there are 17 sts. in thumb gore. Slip these sts. to a safety pin and cast on 5 sts. (56 sts. in round) Join and work even for 2 (2¼) inch. Slip all the sts. on to a thread. Take off for Forefinger: 8 sts. from back and 8 sts. from palm of hand and cast on 2 sts. in between, divide the sts. on 3 needles and work in stock. st. for 2¾ (3) inch. Next round: * K2, K2 tog., repeat from * around. Work 1 round even. Next round: K2 tog. all around. Break the yarn and leave about a 7 inch end. Thread a tapestry needle with this end and run twice through the remaining sts. Pull sts. tog. and fasten off on wrong side. Take off from thread for Middlefinger: 7 sts. from back of hand, pick up 2 sts. on the 2 sts. cast on for forefinger, take off 7 sts. from palm of hand and cast on 2 sts. between palm and back of hand. Divide the sts. on 3 needles and work in stock. st. for 3 (3¼) inch. Decrease and finish as forefinger. Take off from thread for Ringfinger: 7 sts. from back of hand, pick up 2 sts. on the 2 sts. cast on for middlefinger, take off 6 sts. from palm of hand and cast on 2 sts. between palm and back of hand. Divide the sts. on 3 needles and work in stock. st. for 2¾ (3) inch. Decrease and finish as forefinger. Take off from thread for Little Finger the remaining 13 sts. and pick up 2 sts. on the 2 sts. cast on for ringfinger. Divide the sts. on 3 needles and work in stock st. for 2 (2¼) inch. Decrease and finish as forefinger. Thumb: Pick up the sts. from safety pin and 5 sts. on the 5 cast on sts., divide them on 3 needles and work in stock st. for 2¼ (2½) inch. Decrease and finish as forefinger. Work other glove to correspond.
