MATERIAL:
  3 (4-5) skeins Knitting Worsted or Orion Sayelle (4 oz.  skein)
  1  pair knitting needles each No. 7 and No. 9 (10) or any size needles which will  give stitch gauge given below
  1  circular knitting needle No. 8
  1  set sock needles No. 7
  3  (3-4) chain closings
  1  cable needle
GAUGE:
  5 sts. = 1 inch on No. 9 needles for Sizes 34 and 36
  4½  sts. = 1 inch on No. 10 needles for Size 38
PATTERN:
    1st row: * P4 (5-5), K4, P4 (5-5), K8 repeat from * across row end P4 (5-5), K4, P4  (5-6).
    2nd row: * K4 (5-5), P4, K4 (5-5), P8 repeat from * across row end K4 (5-5) P4, K4 (5-5).
    3rd row: * P4 (5-5), slip next 2 sts. to an extra needle and hold in back of work, K  next 2 sts., K the 2 sts. from extra needle, P4 (5-5), K8 repeat from * across  row end P4 (5-5).
    4th row: Work as 2nd row.
    5th row: * P4 (5-5), K4, P4 (5-5), slip next 4 sts. to an extra needle and hold in back  of work, K next 4 sts., K the 4 sts. from extra needle repeat from * across row  end P4 (5-5), K4, P4 (5-5).
    6th row: Work as 2nd row.
    7th row: Work as 3rd row.
    8th row: Work as 2nd row.
    9th row: Work as 1st row.
    10th row: Work as 2nd row.
    11th row: Work as 3rd row.
    12th row: Work as 2nd row.
    13th row: Work as 5th row.
    14th row: Work as 2nd row.
     Cont. to work this way cabling the K4 sts.  every 4th row on right side and the K8 sts. every 8th row on right side.
BACK:
     Cast on 92 (102-102) sts. with No. 7 needles  and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 1 inch. Change to No. 9 (10) needles and  pattern. With 92 (102-102) sts. work even until the entire piece measures 15  (15½-16) inch. or any des. length to underarm. Bind off for armhole at the beg.  of the next 2 rows 6 (8-10) sts., at the beg. of the next 4 rows 2 sts. (all  sizes). (72 (78-74) sts. left.) Work even for 8 (8½-9) inch. from the first  binding off. Bind off for shoulders at the beg. of the next 6 (6-6) rows 7  (8-7) sts., rem. 30 (30-32) sts. bind off for neck.
LEFT FRONT:
     Cast on 52 (58-58) sts. with No. 7 needles  and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 1 inch. Change to No. 9 (10) needles and  pattern. With 52 (58-58) sts. work even until entire piece measures like back  to underarm. Bind off at armhole edge at the beg. of the next row 6 (8-10) sts.  and at the beg. of the next 2 rows at same edge 2 sts. (all sizes). At the same  time decr. for neck 1 st. at center edge every 2nd and 3rd row alternately  until 21 (24-21) sts. are left over. Work as high as back and bind off for  shoulder at armhole edge 7 (8-7) sts. 3 (3-3) times.
RIGHT FRONT:
     Work as Left Front reversing all shapings.
FINISHING:
   Sew up side and shoulder seams. Armband: Right side facing you pick up  with No. 7 sock needles 84 (88-92) sts. around the armhole and work in ribbing K1,  P1 for 5 rounds, P 1 round, work in ribbing K1, P1 for 5 rounds. Bind off very  loosely K as K and P as P. Work the other armband to correspond. Turn armband  on P round inside and hem to wrong side. Frontband: Right side facing you starting at lower right front corner pick up with No. 8  circular needle 230 (236-240) sts. all around Right Front, Neck and Left Front.  Slip a marker to beg. of V neck shaping on each side. Work back and forth in  ribbing K1, P1 for 6 rows and incr. 1 st. before and after the 2 markers every  other row. P 1 row. Cont. to work in ribbing K1, P1 for 6 rows and decr. 1 st.  before and after the 2 markers every other row. Bind off very loosely K as K  and P as P. Turn frontband on P row inside and hem to wrong side. Block to size  and sew 3 (3-4) chain closings to fronts as shown in picture.
